Monkey Bar Technique (Basic)
- Grab onto the first bar with both hands.
- Get a little bit of momentum, and on the forward swing reach forward with one hand to the next bar.
- When traversing from the 3rd to the 4th bar, be sure you stay in control so you don't lose your grip when the ladder slams down.
- Transition to the next ladder, as you would on normal monkey bars, and repeat the above steps.
Reverse Technique (Advanced)
- Start with both hands on the first bar, this time facing the other direction.
- Perform a pullup motion, while at the same time transferring one hand to the next bar.
- When traversing from the 3rd to the 4th bar, be sure you stay in control so you don't lose your grip when the ladder slams down.
- Transition to the next ladder, making sure to look back and spot the bar, and repeat the above steps.
