"So, we've been bringing our son, Theo, here for about a year and a half now. And, he's been attending the preschool.
And, a little while after that, maybe for the last 8 months, I've also been working out here. So, with Theo, in particular, I really like the attention to introducing a lot of movement into his day. He's not a kid that like's to sit still. He does like to focus when he's got a task that he enjoys. And, there's plenty of that. |
But, then he also has a really great opportunity to move around. And, with the amazing facility here, he can do that rain or shine, no matter what the weather is. There's always a guarantee that he's going to have some really good movement in his day.
And, then for me... shortly after he started, I found out that there are great adult workout classes that I could attend as soon as I dropped him off. So, that really simplified my day and my routine. I would bring him in and I still do and I stay behind for an hours workout, Kickboxing or something else.
That's been really really helpful. Finding Bodies in Motion has been amazing for our family. It's been a lot more than somewhere to drop Theo, for him to get preschool care and after school care. It's really my community.
The people who run the programs are great. All the people and parents who I met here have been a really amazing introduction just to life in Boise.

Q. I am overweight. Should I lose weight before joining?
A. The late Zig Ziglar used to say, "If you wait for all the lights to be green before you leave for town, you'll never get out of the house." No! The point of our program is to empower you to lose the extra weight. We guarantee, losing the weight happens faster with us, than it does on your own. |
Q. How many people are in each class?
A. It varies based on class times. However, we average anywhere from 5 to 15 people. We intentionally keep classes smaller to create a community feel, and to give students the best attention.
Q. What if I haven't worked out in a long time?
A. Then, this means you're like 70% of our students who first sign up. The beauty of our Kickboxing class is that you are in control of your intensity. The more conditioned you become, the more you can ramp up your intensity.
Q. How in shape is everyone else?
A. As much as you know it shouldn't matter, we get it! It's human nature to think about this. Our classes are truly balanced with students just starting out, to students who are halfway there, to students who are maintaining. If there aren't in shape people in the class, you ought to be wondering if the program even works, right?
Q. How many times should I come to class?
A. This depends on how active you already are, and how fast you want results. If you want fast results, come 5 days a week! If you don't have the time for 5 days a week, then 2 to 3 times would be good.
Q. What should I wear?
A. No need to impress anyone in our class. Unlike other big gyms where many are dressing to impress, you can wear what's comfortable for you. Many students wear shoes, but bare feet is also acceptable. If you wear shoes, we would appreciate it if you made sure the bottoms are clean.
