Doing the Devils Steps is merely a series of pull ups.
Climbing the Obstacle (Quick)
This technique will help you get off the obstacle quicker, but requires a little more strength and momentum.

Variations
Pro Tip- Practice pull ups and dead hangs on the Devil Steps to help develop pinch grip strength.
Climbing the Obstacle (Basic)
Doing the Devils Steps is merely a series of pull ups.
- Do a pull up, then grab the step above.
- Repeat.
Climbing the Obstacle (Quick)
This technique will help you get off the obstacle quicker, but requires a little more strength and momentum.
- Do the same as the basic technique to start.
- Instead of bringing your hands even, make the bottom hand pass the upper hand to skip a step.
Crossing the Gap
- Generate a little swing with your body.
- Do a pull up and simultaneously release one arm to cross the gap.
- Quickly release the other hand and bring it to the other side.
Variations
- Dyno- Do an explosive pull up and release both hands to simultaneously grab the step above.
- Supinated Grip- Climb backward
