The
ultimate purpose of a high ropes course is to explore
risk, develop leadership, improve communication, and
induce problem-solving. The challenges call upon members
of the team to participate, and present unending
opportunities for self-discovery and team growth.
Our course emphasizes risk-taking, trust, and
coaching. By experiencing and managing all the different
elements of the course, participants are challenged to
expand their comfort zones… sometimes dramatically. They
will also recognize fears that may be blocking personal
and team achievements. Each moment is rich with
discoveries, whether a person is climbing, supporting
"on belay," or finding an effective way to encourage a
teammate.
Workplace Benefits
Unite new project teams together to build a
foundation of trust and problem solving abilities.
Celebrate success by kicking off an annual retreat
with a fun and energizing experience.
Instill interdependence as well as the ability to take
calculated risks.
Develop a means to improving communication.
Clarify roles and responsibilities on a team.
A means to strengthening a customer-client
relationship.
Integrate an enjoyable, but yet mind-stimulating,
activity to break up a multi-day meeting.

Corporate Teambuilding Workshop Rates
1 1/2 hour workshop
15 minutes: Ground element exercises to
help teach communication and teamwork. It's also a
great ice breaker to help participants relax and open up to
the idea of working and communicating with each other.
30 minutes: Participants will challenge
themselves on 2 or 3 of our "access elements."
These are 20 foot high ladders that vary in degree of
difficulty. Ladders that aren't your normal, everyday
ladders. We'll provide you with the names of the
ladder, then let you use your imagination- Firecracker,
Centipede, Caving Ladder, Prussic Climb, and the Traditional
Rope Ladder.
45 minutes: Now comes the real thrill.
Taking that first step, high above everyone else, onto a
single piece of rope (Bottomless Burma Bridge), or a wooden
beam (Chain Beam) that is practically impossible to balance
on. Participants will work independently at times and
with a partner at others.
At the conclusion of the 1 1/2 hour workshop, participants
will have different experiences. Some will have
improved their self confidence by facing a fear, and
overcoming it. Others may have developed a new
working relationship with someone on their team that they
may not have had previously. And, others may have a
strong relationship solidified even more.

3 hour workshop
20 minutes: Ground element exercises to
help teach communication and teamwork. It's also a
great ice breaker to help participants relax and open up to
the idea of working and communicating with each other.
Participants will also learn and discuss how these
communication and teamwork skills could be implemented in
their current work environment.
45 minutes: Participants will learn how to
perform 1 of 6 different rescue techniques. You may
ask, "Is there really a need to know how to do a rescue on a
ropes course?" The answer is a resounding YES.
Verbal rescues are quite common and used mainly to help a
person who has become fatigued or scared in the middle of an
element. But, what if a participant has a heart
attack? CPR on a ropes course is impossible.
Our ropes course instructors are trained to identify the
need for a physical rescue, be on the ropes course and have
the participant safely on the ground under the national
required time of 6 minutes. In fact, most of our
instructors can do it in 3 minutes. When it's not a
real rescue, the training for this is extremely fun and
exhilarating. Especially when we make it a friendly
competition!
45 minutes: Participants will challenge
themselves on all 5 of our "access elements."
These are 20 foot high ladders that vary in degree of

ladders. We'll provide you with the names of the

70 minutes: Now comes the real thrill.
Taking that first step, high above everyone else, onto a
single piece of rope (Bottomless Burma Bridge), or a wooden
beam (Chain Beam) that is practically impossible to balance
on. Participants will work independently at times and
with a partner at others. During the 3 hour session,
participants will manipulate the course in a few challenging
ways that will test the communication and cooperation
amongst the group.
And, lastly our participants will learn to rappel.
Climbing is always fun, and dropping while under the
security of a belay is exciting too. But, rappelling
down from a platform is even more fun. Participants
will learn how to repel off a platform and will have 100% of
the control to slow down and speed up within their very own
grip.
At the conclusion of a 3 hour workshop, participants will
have different experiences. Some will have improved
their self confidence by facing a fear, and overcoming it.
Others may have developed a new working relationship
with someone on their team that they may not have had
previously. And, others may have a strong relationship
solidified even more.
Although participants take away many skills from
adventure learning, they develop something else, and that is
a stronger relationship between themselves and others they
participated with. The positive encouragement,
cooperation, and teamwork is strengthened within the
participants.
